All clients are encouraged to carefully read the following POLICIES and PROCEDURES.
NOTE: These Policies and Procedures govern the way we do business and will be revised as needed.
_______PAYMENT OPTIONS We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express*, Checks**, CashApp***, Cash and Zelle. All orders must be PAID-IN-FULL BEFORE production begins. A minimum of $35.00 will be deducted for cancellations made BEFORE production begins to cover the administration costs of processing the order and cancellation. Cancellations made AFTER production begins will result in a prorated refund based on any supplies ordered before the order is cancelled, any work done, and labor charges.
_______MINIMUM ORDER Our minimum order amount is $35.00 (before taxes).
_______REVISIONS/CHANGES Once the client submits material for production and production begins, 2 MINOR REVISIONS/CHANGES will be allowed at no extra charge. A minimum charge of $35.00 each will be charged for the 3rd and more copy material revisions/changes.
_______REFUNDS All orders are custom designed and produced to the client’s specifications. Therefore, exchanges and refunds are NOT ALLOWED.
_______PROOFS Clients are given an opportunity to review all jobs BEFORE they are sent to final production. Clients must approve all layouts/designs before production begins. Clients are encouraged to review their proof design/layout carefully to check for correct spelling and accurate names and dates, etc. Once the proof is approved by the client, the client is financially responsible for any errors or necessary changes discovered after production - even if the error was made by PEARL’s Desktop Publishing Services -because all errors or changes needed should be pointed out by the client BEFORE APPROVAL is given.
PEARL’s Desktop Publishing Services will not be held responsible for any errors on any project where the client waives the opportunity to proof/review the job prior to production or where a rush order does not permit time for proofing. We try very hard not to have errors. Re-prints for corrections/changes will be the considered as a new order and charged as such at the expense of the client. To keep clear records for a solid paper-trail all approvals must be submitted in an email, text message or other written format.
_______PRODUCTION TIME/RUSH ORDERS We want to deliver quality work to our clients. When rush orders are needed clients are advised that information and all components necessary to produce the order need to be submitted as soon as possible. They need to be prepared to review and/or approve their proof as soon as it is provided. Rush orders require additional charge to cover various costs including having extra help for production.
_______QUALITY & COLORS The quality of photos, logos, etc. submitted to us will determine the quality of the outcome of your order, CRAP IN - CRAP OUT. There are extra charges for photo enhancements and photo touch ups such as removing lines, cracks, trees, other people, inserting other objects or people, mending old photos that have faded or been folded, have water marks or aged spots, etc.
_______COLOR MATCHING We do NOT GUARANTEE EXACT COLOR MATCHES. We do our best to get as close as possible to the requested colors. Clients are advised that a color design printed on brochures, invitations or other paper products may appear very different when the same color or design is printed on a ceramic cup, compact mirror, t-shirt, plaque, or other type of surface.
_______CLIENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING ALL NECESSARY COPYRIGHT APPROVALS FOR PHOTOS, LOGOS, GRAPHICS, QUOTES, etc that are used in the production of their projects.
_______RESEARCH Please do not ask us to get images from the internet or from your website, etc. The client is responsible for providing information to us. There is minimum charge of $35.00 for us to perform any type of research. PLEASE NOTE: Most graphics and pictures found on the internet are usually low quality. Using images copied from the internet usually results in poor quality out-put on products we create with our printing methods.
_______OWNERSHIP OF FILES All files (layouts, designs, scans, photos, etc) that are generated by PEARL’s Desktop Publishing Services for the purpose of creating custom projects ordered by clients remains the property of PEARL’s Desktop Publishing Services. This information may be released for a fair fee.
_______MARKETING Photos or actual samples of items from your order may be included in our marketing program without any compensation consideration. Clients who do not want their product or their picture or name used in this program need to inform us in writing.
_______PRODUCTION CREDITS We are very proud of our work. We place our credits on products as a sign of our pride. We do quite a lot of research, in-house tests and we attend several training sessions to keep up with technology so we may continue to offer professional, quality, unique and unusual products.
_______NATURAL DISASTERS We cannot be held responsible for any products that are not delivered due to Acts of God. We have no control over natural disasters such as a health pandemic, evacuations or power outages caused by weather disasters such as hurricanes, tornadoes, lightening strikes, or fires and earthquakes, etc. We will make every effort to stay open as long as humanely possible.
Anyone who uses our services and products must abide by these POLICIES AND PROCEDURES. These Policies and Procedures are shown on our website and are often attached to emails with Proofs or as a general attachment.
**Checks are accepted as payment when placing an order, but all checks must clear the bank BEFORE PRODUCTION BEGINS. Checks ARE NOT ACCEPTED AS FINAL PAYMENT.
